Much more mu-X
Although very similar, the Isuzu mu-X and the Chevrolet Trailblazer are not the same vehicle. When GM left South Africa, it left many wondering what would happen to the countless fans of the Trailblazer but there was no need to worry. Isuzu stepped up to the plate with a seven seater SUV of their own to replace the marque and it has gone on to leave an indelible mark on our local market.

Here are the top 3 things you need to know about the Isuzu mu-X

1. The mu-X runs genuine Isuzu engines
The Trailblazer used to run Chevrolet engines and once GM left SA and Isuzu took over, they decided to use the Isuzu 3.0-litre engine in the mu-X, it has proven its durability, seeing as it’s been used in KB (now called the D-MAX).

2. Off Road capability far beyond what's needed
As demonstrated in our video review here, the mu-X is a very capable offroading machine with 4x4 chops that go far beyond what you would need in day to day driving. A lockable rear differential makes navigating the slipperiest slops a breeze. It has approach, break-over and departure angles that ensure you can tackle just about any grade.

3. Exceptional warranty and service
The Isuzu mu-X carries Isuzu's comprehensive 5 year / 120 000km warranty and 5 year / 90 000km service plan. That should provide peace of mind and many blissful kilometers behind the wheel.
