The Suzuki Fronx and recently launched Starlet Cross seem to offer unbeatable value, but does that mean they're also high on safety features? Let's review the different trim levels to find the three most notable safety features on the Starlet Cross.

1. Starlet Cross XS

Even if your budget only stretches to the entry-level XS model, you'll still get the essential safety features.

The top safety features in the Xs model comprise ABS with EBD, two airbags, stability control, hill-start assist, and a 7-inch infotainment touchscreen with Apple CarPlay/Android Auto. This is impressive, considering that stability control keeps you in control of the car and prevents skidding and rollovers. This means you'll be sufficiently protected even if you buy the cheapest Starlet Cross.

The Starlet Cross 1.5XS manual is priced at R299 900, and the automatic costs R322 300.

The top-spec Starlet Cross gets even more safety equipment.

The Starlet Cross adds four more airbags to bring the total to six. The bigger 9.0-inch screen offers a 360-degree panoramic view monitor and reversing camera. A head-up display offers the driver essential information against the windshield.

The Starlet Cross 1.5XR manual will set you back R339 300, and the automatic variant retails for R359 300.
