Kia recently introduced an updated Seltos range with an upgraded exterior design, a significantly upgraded interior, and a pair of upgraded powertrains. Here is an easy way to understand the range and search for the best Kia Seltos deals.

The new Kia Seltos is offered in no less than eight derivatives in varying trim levels and powertrain combinations. The crossover can be had with a naturally aspirated 1.5-litre, 4-cylinder petrol engine, a 1.5-litre turbodiesel and a 1.5-litre, turbocharged petrol motor. There are also a variety of transmission systems in use, including a 6-speed manual gearbox, 5-step CVT, 6-speed automatic and even a 7-speed dual-clutch automatic.

Kia Seltos LX deals

The Kia Seltos in LX guise is the entry point to the Seltos range, although Kia still included the best features from the outgoing EX trim for this new model. On the exterior, customers can expect 16-inch alloy wheels, body-coloured bumpers and body-coloured electrically adjustable side mirrors with integrated indicator lamps. LED Daytime Running Lights and automatic headlight control are also included. 

On the interior, there is black cloth upholstery as standard, with height adjustment for the driver’s seat. The driver benefits from a 4.2-inch Supervision TFT cluster, an electrochromatic rear-view mirror, and cruise control. All occupants is service by electric windows all around and a manual airconditioning system. Remote central locking is a standard, along with an alarm and immobiliser, and keyless entry.

Centrally in the stylish dashboard sits an 8-inch touchscreen infotainment system incorporating a reverse camera with dynamic guidance lines. The infotainment system supports Bluetooth connectivity with voice recognition, wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, and steering wheel-mounted controls for telephony, audio, and cruise control. Six speakers are standard, as is a USB port in the front with additional charging USB ports in the front and rear.

The Kia Seltos in LX guise is available with a 1.5-litre, 4-cylinder petrol engine producing 84 kW and 144 Nm, coupled to either a 6-speed manual gearbox or 5-step CVT. Additionally, customers can choose a 1.5-litre, turbodiesel, 4-cylinder motor delivering 85 kW and 250 Nm coupled to a 6-automatic transmission. 

Kia Seltos EX deals

The next grade up from the LX is the EX. These derivatives bolsters on what is already present in the LX variants. Quickly noticeable on the exterior are new 17-inch alloy wheels. On the interior is a storage box with integrated armrests between the two front seats. This centre console, as well as the seats, now offers artificial leather upholstery.

Continuing on the tech and comfort trend of the LX, the EX comes with an electronic parking brake and Smart Entry with push-button start. The air conditioning system is also upgraded to dual automatic climate control. For the front occupants, there is a wireless charging pad, while the touchscreen infotainment system is scaled up to a 10.25-inch screen.

Owners of the Seltos in EX guise also gain Drive Mode Select, allowing the driver to select from Comfort, Eco, Sport or Smart mode sub-settings. The EX guise only offer customers the 1.5-litre, 4-cylinder petrol engine producing 84 kW and 144 Nm, coupled to a 5-step CVT or the 1.5-litre, turbodiesel, 4-cylinder motor delivering 85 kW and 250 Nm coupled to a 6-automatic transmission.

Kia Seltos EX+ deals

You might think there isn't much difference between the EX and EX+ grades, but you will be wrong. On the exterior, Kia added LED, headlights, taillights, and foglamps, and the LED indicator lamps were made sequential. Furthermore, you can expect an upgraded ‘tiger nose’ grille and 18-inch alloy wheels.

The interior remains very much the same. However, the driver benefits from the 4.2-inch Supervision TFT cluster being replaced by a 10.25-inch fully digital cluster. For all occupants, Kia also added some mood lighting. Like with the EX variants, EX+ customers can only choose between the 1.5-litre, 4-cylinder petrol engine producing 84 kW and 144 Nm, coupled to a 5-step CVT or the 1.5-litre, turbodiesel, 4-cylinder motor delivering 85 kW and 250 Nm coupled to a 6-automatic transmission.

Kia Seltos GT Line deals

The flagship in the Seltos range is the GT Line, which not only gets specification upgrades but also a higher-performance engine. Quickly noticeable on the exterior are the GT Line specific bumpers, new 18-inch alloy wheels and the addition of red brake callipers. Step inside and look up, and you will notice a panoramic sunroof that is new to the Seltos and exclusive to the GT Line derivative.

The GT Line bolsters the EX+ specifications with alloy pedals, paddle shifters, and a head-up display unit. Drivers benefit from a Smart Cruise Control system, as well as, a variety of new Advanced Driver Assistance Systems, which include Blind Spot Collision Avoidance Assist, Lane Keep Assist, Lane Follow Assist and Forward Collision Avoidance Assist. The Seltos GT Line is only available as a 1.5-litre, turbocharged, 4-cylinder, petrol coupled to a 7-speed dual clutch transmission.
