Buying a Car

Although you can buy a car without test driving it, it is usually a pretty bad idea.

Test driving a car before purchase will give you an idea of the mechanical condition of the car as well as give you insight into whether the car is right for you.

All dealerships should offer you a test drive and if they don’t you should it’s suspect and you should take your business elsewhere.

During a private sale the owner might be hesitant to let you drive the car especially if it’s a high power sorts car or rare model. In these instances you should negotiate a refundable deposit to prove that you are a serious buyer and not just there for a joyride.

Always test-drive the car before buying.
