GWM has been making a storm lately with a whole of new products and more on the horizon. The Tank 300 is one of these vehicles and reached our shores recently after our initial sighting at Auto Shanghai 2023.

The Tank 300 is suitable for your off-road adventures and urban curb appeal. Utilising a traditional ladder frame chassis and a precise double-wishbone front suspension and rear multi-link suspension, the Tank 300 posed to be comfortable on-road and capable offroad. You'll find 224mm of ground clearance. In addition the capability, you have two powertrain choices. First up, the full ICE 2.0-litre turbocharged petrol engine producing 162kW and 380Nm paired with an 8-speed automatic gearbox. The second, a hybrid version of the aforementioned 2.0-litre turbocharged unit producing 255kW and 648Nm paired with a 9-speed hydraulic automatic gearbox. New Pricing
At the time publishing this article, only the hybrid Tank 300 is available for purchase with the full ICE versions only releasing in late Q1. Despite this, pricing was announced.

All Tank 300 variants are sold with a 5-year /75 000km service plan and a 7-year /200 000km new vehicle warranty. The hybrid variant gains an additional warranty in the form of an 8-year /150 000km warranty.

Used Pricing
At the time of publishing this article, the Tank 300 was released a month ago, in February 2024. The vehicle is quite fresh but is starting to show up at a few dealerships with next to no mileage. Mileage so low you couldn't even regard the vehicle as used. Here are some examples on our website. The pricing seen here matches the launch pricing.
Verdict
We'd advise waiting a few months if you want to buy a used Tank 300. The vehicles are still very new so some time has to pass so the cars can be owned and have mileage put on. Perhaps wait until demo units become available for purchase, as that would be the best right now because you can still maintain the warranties and service plan too. Only then can we really have a definitive yes or no answer on whether to buy a used Tank or not.
