Should I Buy Optional Extras for My New Car?
We spoke to 2 of our amazing dealers to ask them if you should buy optional extras on your new car and here’s what they told us.
1. Buy optional extras to fit your lifestyle.
“If you need those extras for a specific purpose, because you've got a certain lifestyle, and you're going to use those extras that's fine, but realise that you're paying for those extras, and you're not really going to get a lot back for them on trade-in or resale” Hilmar Rencken, Dealer Principal from Park Ford in Vanderbijlpark.
2. Go for practicality over vanity when picking optional extras.
“If you get the benefits from it absolutely. If they're just more of a selling point then no, don't spend extra for that, but if it’s very functional then yes. If not then no, practicality over vanity when it comes to optional extras.” Danie Snyman, Dealer Principal from Mekor Ford Claremont
