The first iteration of the Renault Kwid, first launched in 2016, made waves around the country and up until the introduction of the facelifted model sold over 27 700 units locally. The facelifted which arrived in 2019 aims to bolster that number further by incorporating new styling on both the exterior and interior as well as better levels of standard specification.
Currently, customers can choose between five derivatives which are divided into three distinct trim levels. What remains constant throughout the range is the powertrain which takes shape as a 1.0-litre, 3-cylinder petrol engine, capable of 50 kW and 91 Nm of torque. Depending on the trim level specified, customers can choose between a 5-speed manual or 5-speed automated manual transmission.
