Porsche 911 Dakar colours and price guide
In 2022, Porsche gave the world a preview of a modern 911 Dakar concept based on the 1984 class-winning car. And later, the German marque confirmed that it will make available 2 500 allocations of the 2023 Porsche 911 Dakar. In this article, we will look at the available colours as well as list the base price for the limited edition model.
The Dakar desert race is one of the most challenging events on the global racing calendar. As a result, winning a vehicle class in Dakar is considered very prestigious. In the sixth running of the event in 1984, René Metge and Dominique Lemoyne finished first in class in a Porsche 953 or, as it is commonly referred to, the 911 SC/RS 4x4.
Now, 39 years later, a select few customers, 2 500 to be exact, have the opportunity to own a modern iteration. But the enhancements are not only cosmetic, as Porsche has increased the ground clearance by 50mm when compared to a standard 911 Carrera and pilots can further increase the front and rear of the vehicle by 30mm with the standard lift system.

In addition, customers will notice the large Pirelli Scorpion All Terrain Plus tyres which are sized at 245/45 ZR 19 at the front and 295/40 ZR 20 at the rear. At the front, the 911 Dakar gets a new bumper treatment and also gets air vents on the bonnet from the new 911 GT3. The side skirtings and rear bumper also get aggressive off-road design enhancements.
Above the 353 kW and 570 Nm, 3.0-litre, bi-turbocharged, 6-cylinder petrol engine features a model-specific wing. In addition to all of these already striking augmentations, Porsche offers fuel and water canisters, folding shovels and traction boards and even a roof tent for those that want to complete the full Dakar look.
