Wind noise
When test driving the Micra Active, listen out for any wind noise. The Active derivative has unique grooves on the roof which is said to be an aerodynamic solution that reduces noise at higher speeds. Normally there is a mass damper in the roof, but with the boomerang groove, the damper is not necessary.
Infotainment
When the updated model was released in 2017, Nissan sold the first Micra Actives with touch-screen navigation and an infotainment system, which was fitted as an added accessory at no additional cost. The system came with TomTom mapping with live traffic; Bluetooth hands-free music streaming; USB input; a built-in music hard drive and it was compatible with all iPhone/iPod models. It’s uncertain if this is still available free or if Nissan is now charging for it as an optional extra, so find out from your salesman.
