We've gathered some features for you to take a look at when going to test drive a new Mercedes-Benz C-Class.
Bolder ‘face'
The new C-Class was last updated in the third quarter of 2018. When going to test drive this car, take a look at the new bumper, revised headlights and the diamond grille, these features create a bolder ‘face’. The headlamps now feature LEDs across the range as well as daytime running lights.
On the rear, there's also LED taillights and an updated bumper. Depending on the variant, there are also new alloy wheel designs on offer. On sportier models, there are also different splitters and diffusers fitted.
New electronic architecture
The new C-Class showcases a brand new electronic architecture that puts it on par with the S-Class. Included in this are the latest Mercedes-Benz driving assistance systems which provide a higher level of active safety and the ability to drive semi-autonomously in more situations than its predecessor. Use your test drive to actually test out some of these systems on the road.
Interior design
Inside the cabin, the new C-Class got new multifunction steering wheels with touchpads borrowed from the S-Class. There's also an upgraded infotainment system and displays which includes standard smartphone integration that can be accessed through touch-sensitive controls on the steering wheel, which respond to swiping motions like the screen of a smartphone.
Use your time to test the system and connectivity features to see if it's user-friendly and simple enough for you to operate, seeing that you are going to be using the car every day if you purchase it. Some owners purchase a car and become really frustrated with trying to operate their infotainment system as the more technologically advanced it is, it can also be unnecessarily complicated to use. The car’s new display concept includes an optional, fully-digital 12.3-inch instrument cluster and the operation of DISTRONIC and cruise control with steering wheel controls is another new feature.
