We've gathered three important points for you to consider when going to test drive a Mazda3.

1. Mazda Connect Infotainment System

All Mazda3 derivatives come with the Mazda Connect infotainment system as standard. It is very user-friendly and is outstandingly responsive. The display screen’s placement is also in perfect alignment with the driver’s line of vision. When test driving this vehicle, be sure to check this system out by means of the console-mounted control knob and surf through the available apps and features.

On the downside of the system, there is no Apple CarPlay and Android Auto on offer. However, you can still easily integrate with your device, but certain, more specialized apps may not be available.

2. Bose Surround-Sound System

Check to see if the test derivative has a Bose surround-sound system. While the standard audio system is enough to entertain occupants, there’s always something more special about the optional audio system. The Bose surround-sound system comes standard on the Grand Touring trim only.

If the test car does have this system, you’re going to want to bump up the volume and listen to how it sounds. Its clarity is excellent from any seat in the cabin. A good sound system keeps you going when the car is being used on your daily commute to school or work.

3. Consider Special Features and Added Value

When considering and test-driving a used Mazda3, have a look at the history report of that particular car. Make note of any modifications as these are usually a good sign of added value.

Also, check for safety features like advanced blind spot monitoring or rain-sensing wipers as these are part of Mazda’s added value packages that allow for seamless driving.

Look out for aesthetic benefits as well such as sports seats or fresh paint. Such small highlights can make a world of a difference to the overall quality and value of a used Mazda3.
