Toyota's Land Cruiser 70 series is world-renowned for being a hardcore, tough, and ruggedly built machine that is highly adaptable to the harshest of conditions. These Land Cruisers may be never-say-die, well-engineered vehicles, but how safe are they?

The Land Cruiser 70 Series scored a remarkable five stars on the ANCAP safety rating tests. Dual frontal, side head airbags (curtains) and a driver knee airbag are standard, while the entire cabin shell is made from high-strength steel and showed minimal deflection in the frontal offset impact tests. Advanced driver assist systems, and electronic diver aids are absent for the Land Cruiser, so testing is solely reliant on the build quality of the vehicle.
