An Urban , offroader SUV with some kerb and rockside appeal. That's the name of the game with the JAECOO J7, the first of the new Chery subgroup marque to enter the South African market. We drove the vehicle at the pre-launch and main launch events.

The JAECOO J7 is for the trendy buyer who enjoys the great outdoors but also does plenty of urban commuting. You can expect plenty of luxuries with the rugged yet elegant J7 plus it has plenty of tech to boot. One notable feature is the massive centre screen. What kind engines are powering the J7? What's powering the J7?


The JAECOO J7 is powered by a 1.6TGDI four cylinder, turbocharged petrol engine. You can either have the J7 in 2WD or AWD. Power figures are as follows:
