Is it recommended to buy a car without a service history?

In short, no. This is a pretty bad idea as you, the buyer, will have no indication of when the car was last serviced and what was replaced.

This leads to all sorts of mechanical problems down the line if certain parts aren’t replaced on time, and you can find yourself stuck with hefty repair bills just after buying - or worse, stuck with a broken motor vehicle that will cost you an arm and a leg to repair.

Its easier to just avoid this situation and make sure that the car you are going to buy has a full service history, and has been serviced prior to the sale.

It is quite common for service intervals to coincide with time frames that vehicles are traded in, so the dealership should do the service at the time of sale.
