Not too long ago, Infiniti updated its naming conventions which saw models usually adorned with an M featuring Q in front of the number designation. The numbering indicates the vehicle size/class, for example, the Q50 is a smaller sedan than the Q70. The updated Infiniti Q70 was introduced locally during 2015 and offered a host of upgrades to the model it is based on.

Not only did the Q70 have a short stint in the local market but also the entire brand. Due to the low sales figures, the Nissan subsidiary left the country but promised to service clients who already purchased one of the niche vehicles. The brand did, however, say that should anyone be interested in one of its products, they can order the vehicle through one a Nissan dealership. This could prove expensive due to the exchange rate and import duties, instead why don't you consider a used model?
Styling
Should you consider owning a Q70, one of the biggest selling points is the unique styling. This vehicle is aimed to take on the dominating German brands in this segment and just on the styling, the Q70 does a good job of it. Upfront the Q70 has sharp lines which extend to the more subdued and softer rear. In all four corners feature 18-inch or optional 20-inch wheels finished in a contrasting tone.
If looking at the likes of a BMW 5 Series, Mercedes-Benz E-Class and Audi A6 doesn't bring a smile to your face, the stylish LED headlamps on the Infiniti are sure to light you up.
Interior
The interior of the Q70 offers plush leather surfaces and contemporary styling which will go up against the best of its day. The updated model further see to it that wind, tyre and mechanical cabin noise is reduced through adjustments made to the body and chassis of the vehicle. Comfort is also improved by the updated suspension which features a new seal between the sliding tubes.
Drivers are also treated to a 7.0-inch vehicle information display incorporated into the instrument cluster while all occupants gain access to an 8.0-inch touchscreen central display to access the radio and other multimedia inputs.
Technology
One of the main pulling cards the Infiniti had, was its standard equipment. One such item that is still very relevant today is the 360-degree external camera monitor/sensors system. The system employs multiple cameras and sensors to assist the driver when navigating narrow streets and tight parking spaces, offering either a 150-degree view or a complete 180-degree view upfront to see pedestrians, children, animals and other cars.
The Q70 also features a great connectivity interface for even current smartphones, as well as additional 12V sockets and storage spots to assist in the charging and storing of your smart device.
