Used vehicles are usually shrouded in a little mystery: that of their true condition. Some hide their past well while others will openly display their scars from a previous life. You may never really know what a car has been through, and a service history will only really tell you about the services, and not what other damage has been repaired. Here are a few ways that you can check for accident damage and cosmetic repair.

While this isn't a foolproof way to detect previous damage, it can go a long way into giving you an idea. If you suspect that the vehicle has been in an accident and there are no reports to support it, we highly recommend insisting on a professional inspection report before you consider parting with your hard-earned money.
