A 5.0-litre V8 motor with raw noise to accompany that, fastback styling and American prowess still course through the Mustang but adds some new-age tech into the mix with screens utilising gaming engines and a host of personalisation options inbuilt to suit your Mustang experience. The Mustang is a dream vehicle in many respects, particularly with its legacy, but how much are you paying for it to achieve that dream car? Let's take a look at what it will cost to pay off the Mustang range.
How much does the Mustang cost?
We use a standard finance model for car repayments. If you know what sort of finance you qualify for, you can skip ahead and try out the AutoTrader Finance Calculator tool to see your potential repayments for a Mustang. We'll use a typical finance agreement with a 72-month term and a 10% deposit to calculate the monthly repayments. You can have a balloon or residual payment, but we won't use that in this calculation. For this calculation, we'll use an interest rate of prime plus 2% for an interest rate resulting in 13.75%. Your credit profile determines the interest rate, so you'll have to check what interest rate you qualify for. After our calculation, your payment will look like this for the two variants:
Ford Mustang 5.0 GT Fastback
Purchase Price: from R1 307 500
Monthly Repayments: R24 091
Total Interest: R557 770
Ford Mustang Dark Horse
Purchase Price: from R1 508 500
Monthly Repayments: R27 794
Total Interest: R643 515
You have an idea of what it will cost to buy a Mustang. Now, why not go onto AutoTrader, search for your Mustang today, and sell your car, too?
