The Ford Everest Wildtrak slots neatly below the top-of-the-line Platinum variant in the Everest range. It serves as a more athletic and rugged variant compared to the illustrious Platinum. My colleague Sean Nurse had the Wildtrak for review, and you can check out his thoughts here.

What makes the Wildtrak distinct is the evident badging around the vehicle's exterior and interior with tasteful styling touches. Trim pieces are finished in a signature 'Bolder Grey' to accent the exclusive to the Wildtrak 'Luxe Yellow' body colour. As standard, you can also find 20-inch two-tone machined wheels, but you can optionally have 18-inch wheels if you're usually in the rough stuff. Inside, the Wildtrak keeps the premium interior but adds yellow stitching and 'Wildtrak' lettering embroidered into the seats. What performance is on offer?
The Everest Wildtrak comes equipped with the same V6 Turbodiesel engine found in the Platinum variant and is paired with an automatic transmission using Ford's Electronic E-Shifter.

How is the Everest Wildtrak performance?
The V6 Turbodiesel is quite potent, with heaps of torque. Since this is an all-wheel drive variant paired with a 10-speed automatic, we can expect the Wildtrak to be not only quick off the line but also capable enough to handle offroad areas well. Offroad performance may be hindered with the 20-inch standard wheels, but with the option of the 18-inch wheels equipped, the Wildtrak would be a riot offroad.
