We look at the features and functions of the infotainment system found in the Honda Elevate, Chery Tiggo 4 Pro, and Toyota Urban Cruiser to compare how they integrate into the user experience.

Honda Elevate
The Honda Elevate is available in two trim levels, Comfort and Elegance. However, the Japanese automaker ensured that customers of both variants get the same 8.0-inch touchscreen infotainment display. The system is paired with four speakers in the Comfort variant, while the Elegance derivative incorporates six.
Owners will be happy to note that the operating system is compatible with Apple CarPlay and Android Auto. However, it also offers Bluetooth connectivity for those only wanting to utilise the telephony system from the multifunction steering wheel. Owners can also access functions with the built-in voice control. The infotainment screen on both variants also doubles as the display for the multi-angle reverse parking camera.
The Elegance derivative further bolsters this package with an integrated wireless smartphone charger for added convenience and a very handy 7.0-inch TFT multi-information display incorporated into the instrument cluster that provides essential driving information. The Honda Elevate offers two USB-A sockets, one for a wired connection to the system and one for charging an additional device.

Chery Tiggo 4 Pro
The Chery Tiggo 4 Pro has been making waves in this segment, reporting good sales figures for the Chinese automaker due to it being quite a high-value proposition. No less than five derivatives are available in the Tiggo 4 Pro range, with the top-of-the-range variant being the Chery Tiggo 4 Pro 1.5T Elite with the double-clutch transmission.
Customers will be happy to note that the large 10.25-inch touchscreen infotainment system is a standard fixture across the range, and so are Apple CarPlay and Android Auto compatibility. Customers who prefer only using telephony also have access to built-in Bluetooth with controls on the multifunction steering wheel. For the Urban, Comfort and LiT derivatives, Chery has paired the infotainment system with four speakers, while the Elite variants offer six.
To connect to the system or charge smart devices, all variants offer two USB-A ports for the front occupants across the range, while the Elite derivatives get an additional USB-A port for the rear occupants. Together with this infotainment system, Chery also included a voice control system for the entire range. Drivers of the Urban, Comfort and LiT derivatives get a 3.5-inch colour TFT cluster display, while owners of the Elite variants benefit from a 7.0-inch colour TFT digital instrument display.

Toyota Urban Cruiser
The new Toyota Urban Cruiser is a drastic but pleasant departure from the previous generation. The model is offered in two trim levels, XS and XR, the latter being the top-of-the-range. With the new design comes new technology, including a 7.0-inch touchscreen infotainment system. Like the others in this comparison, Toyota offers Android Auto compatibility but is capable of using Wireless Apple CarPlay.
Your smartphone can also be connected via a Bluetooth system, which can controlled from the multifunctional steering wheel or voice command. Upfront, there is a single USB-A port to connect your smartphone. The infotainment system is paired with two speakers in the XS derivative, while the XR variants offer four. The infotainment display also functions as a reverse camera display.
The Urban Cruiser can also be specified with the Toyota Connect services, with complimentary 15GB of data. With your vehicle connected via the MyToyota app, you are able to connect to WiFi inside your vehicle, remotely check your car's battery health, get real-time roadside assistance, know your vehicle’s GPS location, have access to a digital logbook and even receive a driver rating to name a few.

Verdict
There are compelling arguments to be made for each system. The Honda Elevate offers an integrated wireless smartphone charger, which not only means a less cable-cluttered interior but also more convenience. The Toyota Connect services, along with GPS location, WiFi connectivity, and real-time road assistance, are excellent features.
All three competitors offer intuitive operating systems; however, for us, the larger high-definition display and the ample USB ports found in the Elite variants of the Chery and the infotainment screen and functionality offered across the entire range are what attracted us and, as a result, is the winner. But you should be well serviced by all three systems.
