What is the Volkswagen Golf 8 R like inside?
Inside, the Golf 8 R is a bit more minimal compared to the previous generation 7.5 R but with more of an emphasis on screens and technology, even down to the haptic buttons on the steering wheel. You get some lovely Nappa Leather R sports seats and some comfort in the rear too. It sticks to the calm blue theme expressed in the 'R' badging and all.
Style
Compared to the previous generation 7.5 R, the 8 R is more subdued but flows elegantly. In front, you have the mono LED light bar that merges into the headlights complete with an aggressive airdam. The familiar Golf Hatchback silhouette is on the side with some 19-inch Estoril wheels and slightly more angular rear end with quad exhaust pipes to finish off the look.
