Crossing boundaries

The Corolla Cross has very quickly become the country's favorite SUV with demand far exceeding supply. This mid-size crossover SUV boasts a number of features that appeal to many South Africans, from convenience and tech to a smooth drive and Toyota's famous dependability.

One of the main reasons that so many consumers are switching to SUVs is their adaptability to various lifestyle activities. You can use your Corolla Cross as a city runabout or pack it to the ceiling for your family vacation, or it can support you in many of the activities that so many choose to pursue. Biking is big business in South Africa and many consumers buy a car simply based on whether it will assist them in their biking adventures. The question of whether you can fit a bicycle inside the Corolla Cross or not has come up a few times, so we decided to find out if you can get a full-frame bike into a Corolla Cross.

Like a glove

Taking into account the dimensions of a 26" bicycle and the overall dimensions of the Cross, if you drop the rear seats and remove the front wheel of the bike it can comfortably fit. We, however, don't recommend this as the bicycle and interior can take damage over time. We suggest getting an aftermarket bike rack that can be found just about anywhere that bicycles are sold.
