6 Extras you should fit on a new BMW 3 Series

Extras you can add to enhance your driving/owning experience of the BMW 3 Series.

 

I had Ashton Chambers from Sales at assist me in putting together this list for our BMW shoppers. Here are six popular extras you can fit on your new 3 Series:

1. Sunroof

Aside from the view of the sky, a sunroof adds a different dimension to the car. It also keeps the car ventilated and lets in sunlight, creating a sense of open space. A sunroof can be added for an additional R11,600*

2. Park Distance Control (PDC), rear

The Park Distance Control, rear system assists with making parking and manoeuvring the car easier. The camera detects obstacles within roughly 1.5 m and alerts the driver through an acoustic warning. The addition of this system to your car will cost R4,900*

3. LED Headlights

You can upgrade your BMW 3-Series's visibility, and style, from halogens to LEDs for the price of R10,000*

4. Concierge Services

With Concierge Services, you can turn your 3 Series into your personal assistant. The Concierge Service connects you directly to the BMW Call Centre Agents through the push of a button and the service agents will assist you 24 hours a day, seven days a week with anything, be it booking a table in a restaurant or a hotel room or adding an address to your navigation system. The addition of the Concierge Service is R3,700*

5. Professional Navigation

The Navigation System Professional has a bigger screen than the Navigation System Business that comes standard with a few more features. It uses a high-resolution colour display with sharp contrasts and a crystal clear presentation to ensure excellent legibility. BMW also boasts that the system excels with its quick start function, lightning-fast route calculation, individual tips on reducing consumption and the 3-D map navigation for easy guidance in the city. The Navigation System Professional can be added for an additional R9,300*

6. High Beam Assist

With the High-Beam Assist system, the driving conditions around you are monitored and your car's high-beam lights will come on and off by itself. This is done through an image sensor mounted on the inside of the front mirror. When the system is activated, it will check the traffic and light conditions and depending on the resulting images, this assistant decides if high-beam lights are needed. The High Bean Assist can be added for an additional R2,150*
