1. When is the best time to buy a used car?
Kobus: “In the olden days it used to be around all the holidays times when people got bonuses, but now there's no specific time. It's just the nature of the game, there's no specific time nowadays with advertising. We keep on selling no matter the time of year.”
2. How many miles is too high for a used car?
“That depends on the manufacturer, if I buy a Range Rover Sport I don’t want one with more than 60-70 000km. But, a guy will buy a Golf with at least 100 000 km on it, so it depends from one manufacturer to another.”

3. Is mileage more important than age, or is age more important than mileage when purchasing a used car?
“Mileage. I'll pay a premium on a vehicle that's a 2016 with 25 000 km but there's no sense in having a 2016 Range Rover sport with 200 000 km mileage, I would not pay for that.”

4. Is it true that it’s cheaper to buy a car with cash?
“In the old days cash was king, but that isn't the case anymore, obviously when we do finance there're fees that we get from the bank, they pay us, so we don't encourage discounts and deals with cash buying. If someone walks in with cash, I'm not going to force them to do finance.”
5.What are your final tips for anyone looking to buy a used car in Constantiaberg?
“Reputable dealership, that's the most important thing, make sure the dealer is reputable. Older people think that they're going to get a better deal by buying from a private dealer but if something goes wrong, the law isn’t in your hands and it's much more difficult to handle. Look at the mileage and look at the service of the vehicle."
Buy from a legitimate dealer, make sure the mileage isn't too high & that the vehicle has got a full service.”
