Optional extras have long been a mainstay of the automotive market, starting with items such as air-conditioning and even seatbelts (before they became mandatory). Ford was one of the pioneers in this regard and the 1965 Ford Mustang was one of their first cars to offers buyers the choice of options, ranging from interior trims to special gauges and radios. Since then, options have been a standard part of speccing a car before taking delivery.
Some manufacturers have taken this to the extreme, offering extensive options lists whose price can make your eyes water. While this was a rather common trend a few years ago, many of the OEMs that were guilty of this have started thinning down their lists. They're offering more as standard fitment and less as additional extras.
Some manufacturers, such as Honda, believe that you deserve all the equipment they can offer without having to spend additional money to get the creature comforts you want. They'll offer cheaper versions of their cars with less equipment, but the options lists are rather limited with you only needing to choose your model grade and the colour you desire.
As a result, there's not much to choose from when looking to buy a new Honda Civic Sedan. You can choose from four models grades; the Comfort, Elegance, Sport and Executive and if there's something that you want on a lower grade model, you'll have to step up a grade.

With that said, they do offer the enthusiast a few additional extras that they can choose to have fitted. These are manufacturer-approved accessories and extras that guarantee that your warranty will not be voided.

Here's our list:
1. Front under spoiler
This front trim piece will give your Civic the appearance that it is lower and sportier than it actually is. It's a cosmetic add on that will help make your Civic stand out from the rest.
2. Side under spoiler
Otherwise know as side-skirts, these trim pieces will help you create a sporty and unique look that is all the rage. It complements the front under spoiler and is designed to accentuate the lines of the Civic Sedan.
3. Step LED
Add a dash of high-tech bling to your interior with a set of illuminated step sills. Using long-life LED technology, these step sills will greet you as you open the door and alight. The set caters for both the front and the rear step sills.
4. Trunk spoiler
There are two options here, one more subtle than the next. You can dress up your boot lid with a stylish decklid spoiler or a slightly racier raised wing, both designed to complement the style of the car. Not available on Sport models that already have an integrated wing.
5. Rear under spoiler
Rounding off the aesthetic improvements is the rear under spoiler that attaches to the lower edge of the rear bumper. Once again, this help makes the car appear lower than it is and gives it a more sporty look.
