4 Features unique to the 2017 Ford Focus

Four features the new Ford Focus is boasting about.

Ford has equipped its new Focus with several handy features:

1. Auto-Stop/Start

The auto stop/start system will automatically shut down the Focus engine, when the car is idling at a standstill, to save fuel. The engine will immediately restart when the driver is ready to move.

2. Quickclear heated windscreen

A heated element has been built into the Focus windscreen that will allow the glass to clear in seconds by the simple push of a button. This feature can also defrost an icy windscreen, reducing any need for scraping.

3. Ford MyKey®

The Ford-exclusive MyKey® is fitted with technology that enables Focus owners to programme the key. It can be used to restrict the top speed, and quite cleverly, reduce the maximum volume or disable the audio system altogether if the driver and passengers are not wearing their safety belts.

The key can also be used to prevent the driver from deactivating safety technologies like the ESP (Electronic Stability Programme), in order to prevent any unwarranted situations/collisions.

4. Auto wipers and headlamps*

The Focus windscreen wipers will automatically activate when water hits the windscreen, while its headlamps automatically illuminate in poor conditions.

This feature comes standard on the ST3 and is available as part of the Trend Driver Assistance Pack.
