The XUV 3XO joins Mahindra's growing SUV range in South Africa, and this is set to surprise you with what it has to offer; so without further ado, here are three things we loved about the XUV 3XO that will pique your interest.

1. Standout safety for the price

For the price, one wonders how the XUV 3XO comes equipped, standard across its range, with 6 airbags, ESP, disc brakes, and even Level 2 ADAS (Advanced Driver Assistance Systems) in the higher-spec models. Such ADAS functions include radar-assisted systems like collision warning, Automatic Emergency Braking, and a 360-degree surround view system with a blind view monitor. Rest assured, the XUV 3XO is a safe vehicle from base spec to top spec.

2. Powertrains with some poke

The XUV 3XO's powertrains are some of the best in this segment. Its 1.2-litre turbocharged 3-cylinder petrol engine makes 82kW and 200Nm. Power is channelled to the front wheels via a 6-speed manual or 6-speed AISIN torque converter automatic transmission. Fuel consumption for these powertrain setups is rated at 5.3 L/100km. It's also worth noting that this vehicle's kerb weight is 1 379kg, which is pretty hefty for a compact SUV.

3. Price

The Mahindra XUV 3XO's purchase price includes a 5-year /100 000km service plan for the AX models and a 3-year /55 000km service plan for the MX models. Both models come with a 5-year /150 000km mechanical warranty.
