The most recent update to the Volvo V40 happened in 2018 and was offered in a variety of trim levels namely Momentum, Inscription, R-Design and Kinetic. Customers could also opt between a 2.0-litre, turbocharged diesel motor producing 88 kW and 280 Nm, a 1.5-litre, turbocharged petrol engine developing 90 kW and 220 Nm or a slightly more performance-oriented 1.5-litre, turbocharged petrol engine creating 112 kW and 250 Nm.
The Volvo V40 is no longer available as a new model locally but there are a variety of used Volvo V40 models available. That doesn't mean you can't give your V40 some extras to bolster its appearance. Here is our list of exterior extras you should consider for your Scandinavian model.
1. Diffuser
Volvo made available a more sporty rear diffuser for the V40 model. Customers can opt for the upper segment for the diffuser to match the body colour or have it in a contrasting grey. The lower part, however, is always finished in charcoal colour for the most dynamic look. The new rear diffuser will change the way your tailpipes look. Instead of the rounded tailpipes on the standard configuration, Volvo adds two new chromed stainless steel tips with a more rectangular design to match the design of the diffuser.
2. Spoiler
A roof spoiler always makes a hatchback design look a lot more sporty. The Scandinavians have made available an optional roof spoiler for the V40 that takes on an aviation-inspired design. Incorporated into the spoiler are fins and winglets like those you would find on an aircraft to bolster the sporty and aerodynamic design. The spoiler also includes an integrated brake light and is finished in the same colour as your V40.
3. Wheels
You cannot add extras without considering a new set of wheels. The designers at Volvo designed a set of rims specifically to match the V40 styling. The name of the rims are Ailos and comes in an 18-inch size to fill the wheel-wells. The wheels incorporate both exposed alloy surfaces and charcoal finishes to contrast your V40's body colour.
