“There is no specific time to buy a used car because a used vehicle is a unique vehicle - there’s not another one with a certain amount of mileage, there's not going to be another one with certain extras. In my head it would be if you see a car you really, really love, you've got to buy it. “Well I would think anything under 200,000 km, and it's difficult to say because of the different cost ranges, the higher the mileage the cheaper the vehicle you will get. So I think anything up to 200,000 km and as long as it has a good warranty you should be at ease.”

3. Is mileage more important than age, or is age more important than mileage when purchasing a used car? 

 “I think age is more important than mileage.”

4. Is it true that it’s cheaper to buy a car with cash? 

“No, definitely not. Firstly if you can afford cash, you’re few and far between! People think they will get a better deal and that they can negotiate, you can’t. If you finance it, it's better for me as it's safer and I'm getting the money from the bank risk free and I get a bit of an F&I commission as well."

“Make sure it is accident free, it would be fully serviced with a service book, you need to see it before you purchase it because some people promise but don't deliver, so you need to physically see it. Thirdly you need to make sure you bond with the vehicle and that it's going to be appropriate for your use”
