- Votes submitted by 20 female journalists from 15 countries
- Considered the car judges would aspire to own
Pretoria, December 2014 – South Africa’s best-selling sportscar, the Jaguar F-Type, leads more than just its segment: it also tops the list of dream cars for judges at the Women’s World Car of the Year competition.
Twenty female judges from 15 countries picked Jaguar’s newest sportscar as the one model they aspire to own, and awarded the F-Type with Dream Car status. Available as a convertible and coupé, and with a selection of Jaguar’s potent, supercharged V6 and V8 engines, drivers get to have the dream car that suits them. The F-Type also boasts many modern technologies, including Jaguar’s lightweight aluminium architecture as well as audio systems by Meridian.
“The F-Type is unmistakably a Jaguar in all departments: looks, performance, innovation and desirability” said Richard Gouverneur, Managing Director of Jaguar Land Rover South Africa and sub-Sahara Africa. “Being chosen as the Dream Car by this panel of accomplished judges is a great honour – and it’s great to see that the buying public has also been agreeing with their verdict.”
