WayRay Navion: First holographic car navigation

WayRay Navion: First holographic car navigation

Author - Author

No helmet or eyewear necessary. Navion projects the virtual route before the windshield so that it seems to lie in front of your car. You won’t have to turn your head to peek at turn-by-turn directions, thus keeping your eyes safely focused on the road.

Holographic technology

At the core of Navion’s work there is a proprietary technology we call Infinity Focus. It allows WayRay to project a holographic image onto the road in front of a moving vehicle. Only a vehicle’s driver is able to see this projection. This technology enhances safety levels by returning focus to the road. Drivers will no longer have to squint at small and flat two-dimensional maps. And, as mentioned before, no additional headgear is required.

Product

The driving experience hasn't changed in years. We created Navion, the first car navigation system with True Augmented Reality principle, by applying aeronautical principles to land navigation. Behind its futuristic silhouette there is a high technology product and years of research and development. Also it fits any car.

Applications

Navion integrates easily with your smartphone. Download your favorite apps from Navion Appstore and see them projected onto the windshield. This option is available for use only when it’s safe enough to do so.

Gestures and voice control

Interact with your car through unique touch gestures and voice commands. Turning knobs and tapping buttons will be phased out like the CD player. To access weather information or change screen view, use your hands or voice. Navion will take the hint.
