Yaris bi-tone
The Toyota Yaris is taking some make-up tips from its smaller younger Aygo sibling. While the current Yaris has been in SA since 2011, the 2014 facelift saw it getting the new moustache look.
The new Toyota Aygo arrived here in 2015, giving buyers the option of an X-play bi-tone paint scheme in black or silver, where the black/silver paint is extended from the grille along the front fenders to the roof and rear C-pillar – the effect is said to create a large X, hence the X-play name.
For the bigger Yaris, the effect is less X-y, and just referred to as bi-tone. This new tonal option idea is to give the Yaris more of a fun look… which it needs, as the competition is heating up, and the Etios has totally taken over from the sales success the original Yaris was.
The 3 colour combos are Pearl White with metallic black upper, Crimson metallic with metallic black (pictured here) and Grey metallic with metallic black.

The bi-tone is available as a no-cost option to new Yaris buyers – that’s right, where most other cars will need more money to get the contrast-scheme paintjob, the Toyota gives it to you for free.
