Rolls-Royce Summer Studio for Bespoke motor cars

Honoured guests, to mark the opening Rolls-Royce Summer Studio on the island of Sardinia, Italy, were treated to the unveiling of 2 cars from Rolls-Royce Bespoke motor cars, commissioned to reflect the atmosphere and vibrancy of one of the world’s most exclusive and glamourous enclave – Porto Cervo.

The essence of this marina, which resides in Costa Smerelda, is embodied in this pair of bespoke luxury cars:  the Wraith, as the company’s most powerful car, and the recently-launched Dawn, as “most social” of drophead coupés.  These cars were inspired by the sights and colours of Porto Cervo, for customers to delight in.

The company says patrons of the Rolls-Royce marque relish in the creative freedom by commisioning highly-bespoke personal legacies.

Emerald embellised Dawn

To demonstrate this art form, the Rolls-Royce Dawn has been specified in a vibrant emerald green exterior, offset against Seashell and green leather.

“Open-pore teak encapsulates occupants, alluding to the elegant sensation of a marine sojourn”.  A bespoke teak boot floor mat was created, continuing the nautical theme.

Precious emeralds and mother-of-pearl are set into white gold, presented on the fascia, compared to the way a brooch adorns a gown.  Set in the shape of the emblem of Porto Cervo, the occupants are reminded of the beguiling island.

Porto Cervo Wraith

This specially commissioned Wraith bears a sill plate with inscript “Porto Corvo Wraith” “One of One”.  A two-tone silver exterior reflects the dimming of the day’s light, whilst a purple feature line runs along the flanks of the Wraith body, as it hints at the interior mood.

The outside is calm, but inside awaits a storm.  The interior is in mostly purple (not a misprint) mixed with shades of slate and black, depicting “the mysterious aura of twilight”, “bestowing the feeling of calm as night falls”.  V-patterned matt-finish wood and shiny chrome create interesting calming contrasts.  The use of black ostrich leather inserts to the armrests and rear seat split upper panel adds depth and texture to the lavish cabin.
