Price+Spec News for SA – new Mercedes-Benz E-Class sedan
Mid exec taking heat
The mid-size executive sedan market is taking heat from the imminent South African arrival of the all-new Mercedes-Benz E-Class. This car brings the luxury car makers 3 mainstay sedan ranges in line in terms of design – C, E and S-Class have a strong (near identical) resemblance for the 1st time. The BMW 5 Series and Audi A6 must be feeling the heat coming from the smart new E-Class Benz, and an all-new Jaguar XF has arrived here, too.
The new Mercedes-Benz E-Class sedan is a step ahead towards the self-driving car – it can steer itself, as written about in the February 2016 article “Is the new Mercedes-Benz E-Class the world’s first car that can steer itself?”
It filters down a lot of the S-Class tech-flagship’s equipment, and even out-tech’s big brother in some smart new in-car advances.

Available in a mix of exterior and interior trim combinations, as introduced with new C-Class, the new E-Class will give buyers a standard line, Exclusive, Avantgarde or AMG Line. The E200 and E220d will be available in any, while the E350d excludes the standard line option.
