Price+Spec News for SA – Jaguar F-Pace including F-Pace First Edition

Jaguar F-Pace available in SA this July

The Jaguar F-Pace range will (finally!) be available in SA.

Jaguar’s first SUV made its local official debut at this year’s Simola Hillclimb event in Knysna, and local pricing has been released. 

The F-Pace order books are open, and first Jaguar SUVs will arrive from July.

Engine options are a 2.0 diesel turbo as the entry-level F-Pace 20d model or a 3.0 V6 diesel turbo for the F-Pace 30d model, and a 3.0 V6 supercharged petrol for the model badged 35t.

Trim levels will be, depending on engine:  20d is available in Pure or R-Sport, while 30d and 35t can be ordered in Pure, R-Sport and S trim levels (with S also available in First Edition – see below).  The luxury Portfolio trim is not part of the local… erm, portfolio.  All F-Pace are AWD (All Wheel Drive).  The S models can be identified as they carry the Jaguar S logo on the grille and tailgate – just an S, without any engine designation.

F-Pace First Edition

The F-Pace First Edition models are offered on the top S spec, and will only be available as launch limited editions with plenty of extra specification, and Caesium Blue paintwork unique to this edition.

Excluding the First Edition models, prices (before emissions tax) range from R 776 800 to R 1 191 100.  Allaying fears that a Jaguar SUV will move into the protected Land Rover co-brand’s territory are seen in how neatly the price positioning slides in between Discovery Sport (R 597 600 to R 806 500) and Range Rover Sport (from R 1 057 400) with only entry and top F-Pace models overlapping these L-R cousins.  The F-Pace is also marketed differently, as a sporty plus practical sports car.
