New John Cooper Works on its way to SA!
Prices and specs for the fastest MINI ever - new John Cooper Works on its way to SA
The new MINI John Cooper Works is on its way to SA… in a hurry.
Remember the new MINI Cooper S now has a big (for its size) 2-litre engine, so it follows logically that the new MINI John Cooper Works uses the same engine, tuned up for more power.
It generates a maximum output of 170 kW and a torque of 320 Newton metres, accelerating the new MINI John Cooper Works from standing to 100 km/h in 6.3 seconds for the 6-speed manual, and an even quicker 6.1 sec when choosing the 6-speed Steptronic sports automatic.
Prices including VAT but excluding CO2 tax are at a R 74 000 over the Cooper S:
• MINI John Cooper Works 3-door manual: R 444 000
• MINI John Cooper Works 3-door automatic: R 466 000
The local mini.co.za configurator is live, so have fun building your new fastest ever MINI… but be gentle on the options list if you want to avoid the half-a-million for my MINI money.
