Motorists should brace themselves as increases are on the cards
South Africa’s department of Energy announced today that the price of all grades of fuel will be increasing.
93 and 95 Octane will increase by 44c a litre while diesel will climb 23c.
Although the rand has stabilized somewhat the international price of petroleum products has increased. This has led to an under recovery during the period under review.
Mid month data had estimated an increase of 70 c but with our currency doing well in the markets we can all breathe a sigh of relief as the official increase is much lower than forcast.
Fuel prices are set to increase midnight 5 October so be sure to fill up before then.
