Mercedes-Benz E-Class coupé and cabriolet models get Sport Edition and V8 Edition

Mercedes-Benz has introduced a pair of special editions to its E-Class coupé and cabriolet ranges, to cater to the tastes of motoring aficionados and connoisseurs.

With so much attention on the other coupé and cabriolet Mercedes, namely SLK, SL, AMG GT, C-Class coupé, S-Class coupé and S-Class cabriolet, the E-Class coupé and cabriolet have retreated into the background.  To bring back some attention, new special edition models were added.

Mercedes-Benz E-Class coupé Sport Edition and E-Class cabriolet Sport Edition

Adding a sporty tone is a pair of distinctive front air inlets, a radiator grille louvre in high-gloss black, sporty side sill panels, diffuser-type rear apron with a 2-pipe trapezoidal exhaust outlet, and a discreet yet sporty AMG spoiler lip, with 18-inch AMG light-alloy wheels and perforated ventilated front brake discs, Agility Control sports suspension, finished off by Sport Edition badges on the front sides.  Brilliant Blue metallic is available exclusively on the Sport Edition.

On the inside, accommodation is black leather with Linarite blue and Alpaca grey detailing and stitching, including black velour mats with Sport Edition lettering.

Mercedes-Benz E500 coupé V8 Edition and E500 cabriolet V8 Edition

Finally a company which celebrates the marvel that is the V8 engine in a special edition model, named V8 Edition.

On the outside, the V8 Edition gets titanium high-sheen 19-inch AMG multi-spoke wheels (managing to look both elegant and sporty), V8 Edition front fender badges, and special paint finishes in a choice of Selenite Grey metallic or design Diamond White bright.

A special feel&look is provided by a choice of Porcelain white-greyish or Classic Red leather trim.  V8 Edition lettering has been added to the seat belts by the design specialists.

Nearly every Mercedes is being offered in a full AMG version (even huge heavy SUVs and everything from A, C through S and SL) though, strangely, this is the only Mercedes that has to do without AMG – yes, there is no Mercedes-AMG E63 coupé nor Mercedes-AMG E63 cabriolet, despite being a proper worthy Mercedes coupé and cabriolet.  The closest you will get is the E500 coupé or E500 cabriolet, especially in V8 Edition.
