Lamborghini Aventador Miura Homage, as 50th anniversary of mid-engine V12 supercar

Homage to 50 years of Miura

It’s been 50 years since the first mid-engined supercar was built – the Lamborghini Miura. As forenunner of all Lamborgini V12 super sports cars, the Miura is now being celebrated with the company’s current V12 car – the Lamborgini Aventador.

The 50 cars – in line with 50 years of Miura – will be titled Lamborgini Aventador Miura Homage, with the same Miura stylised font (complete with horns) on the Miura 50 badge appearing just ahead of the rear wheels. A black Lamborghini logo on the rear together with a limited edition plate positioned inside the car clearly denominate the Aventador Miura Homage.

Internal colour options are offered in full Nero Ade or Terra Emilia leather, with tone-on-tone stitching and carbon-fibre package as standard.  The Miura
50th logo is stitched into the upper part of the seats in gold or silver to reflect
the car’s livery, and ‘Lamborghini’ lettering embroidered on the leather
dashboard.

No need to up the power.  The Aventador Miura Homage’s V12 6.5-litre engine produces 700 hp at 8250 rpm and maximum torque of 690 Nm at 5500 rpm. Accelerating from 0-100 km/h in just 2.9 seconds, the Aventador Miura Homage has a top speed of 350 km/h.

Bright orange and bold gold… like Miura

The Aventador exterior’s homage to the Miura continues with a 2-tone paint scheme, where the upper body is in one colour, and the lower sill-height sides and 20/21” Dione rims are in either matt silver or gold.

The car pictured here is in Rosso Arancio Miura, while other iconic colours, as found on Miura, are Verde Scandal (that intense green) with gold, Nero (black) with gold (which also became a Lamborghini Countach trademark colour scheme), Bianco (white, with gold), Giallo (yellow) with silver, and Blu Tahiti metallic with silver.
