Isuzu is celebrating its centenary in style, making availabel this new Isuzu D-Max Centurion special edition – the D-Max we’ll recognise as the Isuzu KB bakkie in South Africa.

Lavish enhancements added

Striking exterior enhancements make a bold impression as top-of-the-range model.  The centenary-themed pick-up picks up 19-inch black&silver Hurricane alloys, Pirelli Scorpion Zero tyres, stylised front and rear bumper fitments, LED daytime lamps in the front bumper, robust stainless steel side bars, and a set of roof bars.  Instantly noticable is the Alpha Sports rigid tonneau cover (with remote tailgate locking) adding a solid flip-up load-bay cover and rear buttresses plus a roof spoiler extension to the trailing edge of the passenger cabin.  The model-specific silver-blue paint name is Fjord Blue.

The cabin is upgraded with Centurion leather, for sleek leather on the seats, front centre armrest and steering wheel.  Front and door entry guards display an illuminated Isuzu logo, and a Centurion-branded Bed Rug.

An Alpine 8-inch touch-screen display with Alpine speakers including an active subwoofer are installed, and for rear seat passengers there is a rear-seat entertainment system (unusual for a pick-up) comprising drop-down roof-lining mounted 10.2-inch Alpine monitor including a set of wireless headphones.

Each Isuzu D-Max Centurion gets a Centurion plaque, labeled “1-100”.

Special edition KB for SA?

GMSA has not announced any news on whether the local Isuzu KB will be getting a similar limited edition, sporting these add-ons. 

Local KB editions were the Midnite Edition with various black parts which was available end 2014 into 2015, and in 2015 there was the Serengeti.  You can find a variety of Isuzu KB on the https://www.autotrader.co.za site.
