Driving the 1978 BMW M1

BMW South Africa recently restored an 1978 BMW E26 M1. With its 3.5-litre straight six mounted mid-ship, it's a rare homologation special that slots in right up there with the most desirable BMWs ever produced.

We got a chance to drive it, and here are our thoughts.
