Clarkson's show to be revealed

Petrol heads around the world have been keeping a close eye on the news to devour any and all tidbits that have to do with the controversial ex presenter of Top Gear Jeremy Clarkson and his sidekicks James May and Richard Hammond.

News sources have been claiming as of late that the name of the their new show being hosted on Amazon will be called Gear Knobs. The risqué name has been registered with Intellectual Property Rights and trademarked but we will have to wait and see just exactly what they finally decide to call their new motoring show as number of alternative names have also been mentioned.

The new show should be ready for airing by mid 2016 and as would be expected all three presenters are excited to get back in the saddle presenting their unique form of moto-tainment to the masses. Said Hammond of the new show  “The point is, an amazing opportunity has come along for us to evolve and reinvent what we do, and we’re all just charged. It’s kind of wonderful, at our stage in life and career, we’ve got the opportunity to do exactly that when, otherwise, let’s be honest, you might not.”
 
Former Top Gear Producer, Andy Wilman, who joined the team on their new adventure has been given free range by Amazon to make the show that the team want and it looks as if they are easily going to be able to do just that as the numbers circulating for their 36 episode first season budget have been placed at over 160 million pounds meaning, 4.5 million pounds per episode. That’s plenty to put on a show that was always more entertainment that consumer advice.

Said Wilman, “They’ll give us the freedom to make the programmes we want – and you know how we love that freedom – there’s a budget to produce programmes of the quality we want and this is the future.” “No one telling us what we can and can’t do, just us hopefully producing great programmes. It feels really liberating.”

Hammond and May have also been working on solo projects that we should see airing soon. Clarkson has meanwhile been on an extra long holiday and all three presenters will soon be meeting up to begin filming what is being billed as the next evolution in motoring entertainment.
