Quattro GmbH was established in 1983 as a subsidiary of Audi AG responsible for the marketing of accessories and vehicle individualisation. In 1996, it established itself at Audi’s Neckarsulm production facility as the manufacturer of Audi’s high-performance models, however it is still responsible for Audi exclusive – a Vorsprung approach to customisation.

Audi South Africa is proud to announce the launch of Audi exclusive, providing customers with levels of customisation unmatched in the local premium vehicle market. Customers have a choice of pre-configured packages, or to individualise their vehicle in any way possible.

For customers who want to express their own particular bespoke individuality, quattro GmbH offers an exceptionally multifaceted range of choices. Be it paintwork, leather or trim; bodywork, wheels or interior – when it comes to the individualization of cars, Audi exclusive offers the greatest selection in the competitive field.

For the exterior, Audi exclusive offers a choice of over 170 exclusive shades, including matte finishes. All Audi paints are water based and contain no harsh chemicals, making them environmentally-responsible options. The paint surface, consisting of four layers that together are no thicker than a human hair, maintains colour and shine for decades. Customers can also get their very own colour that isn’t part of the 170 shades mixed especially for them. The only condition being that Audi needs to be able to produce it according to its strict quality, safety and sustainability guidelines.

These also include the Offroad packages for the Audi Q3 and Q5. Customers can express their own particular individuality by ordering exterior paintwork in a colour entirely of their choosing that is then mixed specifically for them. For the Audi R8 and other models, there are also a number of matte paint finishes available for a spectacular visual effect. The range of alloy wheels – one of quattro GmbH’s best sellers – is growing continually and extends all the way to 21-inch wheels for selected models.

The interior program consists of 16 interior colours, two leather qualities, and nine carpet tones. Almost every one of the seats can be individually configured and accentuated with contrasting stitching. There is also a free choice of leather colour. quattro GmbH offers exclusive trim elements to match the choice of leather – in piano lacquer, metal and fine wood veneer.

New to the range is the Beaufort aluminium/wood trim, which combines black wood with aluminium to create a highly exclusive interior look-and-feel. For the larger models, the Audi exclusive program offers a range of fine finishes for the headliner and dashboard; features available for the A8 flagship include a cooler-box, folding tray table and gimbal-mounted reading lights in the rear.

Audi’s leather craftsmanship represents quality which meets the highest demands. The range of leather on offer from Audi exclusive is virtually boundless in its choice. Every single piece of leather possesses highly emotional qualities and every seat cover is crafted with maximum precision. The range offers an almost unlimited choice of qualities, colours, threads, perforations, cording, piping, designs, embossing and stitching.

The highest standards are also applied to stitching the leather parts. Only straight seams, such as the diamond pattern on the centre panels, are sewn using partly or fully automatic machines. All curved seams – which are the vast majority of them – are sewn by hand. Experienced craftsmen apply a keen eye and sure hand with the aid of industrial sewing machines equipped with special needles. The finished covers are completely free of creases, even in tight areas such as those on the side cushions of sports seats. The stitching is extremely precise, even and parallel.

Designers from Audi and quattro GmbH are constantly working together with their suppliers on new types of leather, designs and processing techniques. On the RS sports seats, for example, they have now succeeded in removing most of the laminations – the foam and cotton strips attached to the back of the leather. This is good for the leather and also saves weight. Top quality never stands still and certainly does not accept compromise.

Audi exclusive extends across all model ranges from the Audi A1 to the R8. It includes the following pre-developed starter packages:

Audi exclusive Black

Focusing on exterior enhancements only, Audi has designed this package to make Audi exclusive as accessible as possible. As the most cost-effective option, it includes the ‘Black’ styling package with items such as a black grille, black high-gloss window surrounds and a choice of alloy wheels. These items are only available on the Audi A1, A3, A4, A5 and Q5 models.

Audi exclusive Line

Taking it up a notch, the mid-level offer for Audi exclusive offers interior enhancements with special leather upholstery in a choice of colours. Contrast seams and stitching, as well as door sill trims with the Audi exclusive logo are also part of the package. It’s only available on the Audi A4, A5 and Q5 models.

Audi exclusive Open

Audi has even put together a package especially for the cabriolet versions of the Audi A5, S5, RS 5 and R8 Spyder. ‘Open’ gives customers unrestricted colour choice for the vehicle’s interior. Audi will apply the selected shades to set sections of the front and rear seats in fine leather to create a unique look.

Audi exclusive Bespoke

‘Bespoke’ gives customers free reign with a nearly limitless palette of colours and designs, including the choice of Fine Nappa or Valcona leather. What’s more, Audi exclusive door panel badges are included, as well as exclusive seatbelts, carpets, controls, inlays and roof lining. This exclusive offer is only available for the Audi A6, S6, A7, S7, A8, S8, RS and R models.
