Latest Information on Volkswagen Polo

South Africa’s best-selling passenger vehicle is the Polo Vivo, with the VW Polo coming in second place. The reason why Polos are so popular is their German reliability and build quality, as well as good resale value. The Uitenhage factory currently supplies the Polo hatchback to all four-door, right-hand drive markets, including Britain, Ireland, Japan, Singapore, Malaysia, Australia and New Zealand. The Uitenhage Plant is also the sole worldwide supplier of the Cross Polo derivative. The locally built Polo has received notable accolades, the most significant being the 2011 SA Car of the Year and 2010/2011 Japan Import Car of the Year.
