Latest Information on Smart CITY
Before the Smart Fortwo Coupe got its name it was known/marketed as the smart City-Coupé. There was also a City Cabrio, now known as the Fortwo Cabrio. This model was produced between 1998 and 2002. When the model was facelifted that’s when it took on a new name. The first models were powered by a basic petrol 599 cc engine that had three different power ouputs. The different variants put out 33 kW/45 hp, 38 kW/51 hp and 45 kW/61 hp. First and second generation model engines were mated to automated manual transmission. The Smart city cars had many trims and models in the range.
