Latest Information on Noble
Commonly known as Noble, Noble Automotive Ltd. is a low-production British sports car manufacturer. The company was established in 1999 by Lee Noble in Leeds, West Yorkshire. Noble had been designing sports cars, super sports, and supercars since 1983. He is also responsible for the design of the Ultima Mk1. He worked extensively with supercar manufacturer Ascari before leaving to start his own company. His vision was to produce a cheaper, simpler, and relatively affordable supercar that was light weight and focused on extraordinary engineering. Lee Noble was not only the owner of Noble Automotive but also the chief designer and created high-speed sports cars with a rear mid-engine and rear-wheel drive layout. In 2006 he sold the company and resigned in 2008 to move on with a new venture. Noble cars Some of the cars Noble produced include the M12 GTO, M12 GTO-3, M12 GTO-3R and the Noble M400. The Noble M12 expressed much of Lee’s vision. It also received high praise for its power and handling and became known as the “Ferrari Killer.” However, Lee never intended to compete with Ferrari as he chased a more refined, distinguished, and niche market. Whereas Ferrari is a mass-producer of high-end vehicles. This sentiment is shared by the company’s current owner Peter Dyson. They focus on producing 100% custom vehicles. In the first year of business, only 12 cars were built and the most they reached was fifty builds a year. The automaker gets its body and chassis from a South African company called Hi-Tech Automotive in Port Elizabeth. These shells are then sent to the Noble factory in England to be complete its construction with engines, transmissions and the like. Each vehicle is assembled by hand with a relentless focus on perfection. Each and every detailed aspect/feature of a Noble comes from the input of the owner. The last cars listed to be produced by Noble are the M15 and M600.
