The Infiniti G range began with the G20 which was first unveiled to dealers in 1989 at the New York International Auto Show. Production then began in 1990 with the G20 being the brand’s first entry-level luxury car. G-models were produced between 1990 and 1996, then again between 1998 and 2016. It survived through four design generations with production being ceased in 2015. It was available in sedan and coupe form. Throughout its lifespan it won several small awards. The G Coupe shared underpinnings with Nissan’s Z car. Both, the G sedan and coupe models featured V6 engines.
