Bikers for Nelson Mandela Day

Bikers have been part of Nelson Mandela Day from its inception in 2010 and this year will be no different.
A group of approximately 40 bikers will again this year do a pilgrimage to alleviate poverty and suffering on International Nelson Mandela Day.
“Our group will be riding a circle route starting in Johannesburg on Friday 13 July and ending in Johannesburg on Wednesday 18 July, the centenary of Nelson Mandela,” says Jack Devnarain, well-known actor and spokesperson for the group.
The group of 40 will ride from Johannesburg to Rustenburg, Bela-Bela, Polokwane, Hazyview, Nelspruit and Belfast and end in Fourways, Johannesburg.
“Our focus will be on relieving the plight of children,” says Devnarain. “The group will visit projects along the way, hoping to assist 12 NGOs who work with children in need.”
Companies who want to join and contribute to this attempt to welcome to contact the group via email: info@bikers4mandeladay.org
“On Sunday 15 July, another group will be riding from the Nelson Mandela Foundation to the Union Buildings and all bikers are welcome to join in on this. More information will be made available closer to the date.”
