The 14 most expensive bikes in South Africa

With the prices of new bikes getting higher due to the decline of the Rand, a quick look showed that ten of the fourteen most expensive bikes in South Africa also come from America.

BMW’s super exclusive HP4 Race, of which only 10 were imported into South Africa, stands well above the crowd at an astonishing R1,34-million. Rumour has it that eight have already been sold since February.

Kawasaki’s ultra-manic supercharged Ninja H2R will cost around R800 000. Like the BMW, it is not a street-legal bike and can only be ridden on a racetrack.

Ducati’s Panigale V4S Speciale has two versions that slot into third and fourth place. Then follow the American cruisers – Harley-Davidson and Indian. These are two of the oldest names in motorcycling and the Indian brand was revived in 2008.
