Ducati has announced its 2019-model year Scrambler Icon.
Ducati says their renewed Ducati Scrambler is more contemporary, more comfortable and safer, ensuring even more carefree “Land of Joy” fun. Nonconformist, affordable and essential, the Ducati Scrambler is the perfect blend of tradition and innovation and, even in this latest “Joyvolution” incarnation, retains the pure essence of motorcycling: two wheels, a wide handlebar, a simple engine and a huge amount of fun.
On the Scrambler, modern and authentic materials are combined to perfection. The aluminium of the beefier side panels flawlessly matches the steel of the teardrop tank and the glass of the headlight. Black-painted engine, brushed cylinder head fins and machine-finished rims make the Ducati Scrambler even more eye-catching.
The all-new headlight with LED DRL (Daytime Running Light) boosts bike visibility in traffic, even in daylight, as do the new LED indicators that turn-off automatically. More ergonomic switchgear makes it easier for the rider to scroll the LCD instrument menu, which now includes fuel level info.
On the Ducati Scrambler the high, wide handlebars, a new flat seat and a renewed suspension setup merge to provide a more comfortable, relaxed riding position. The low weight, low centre of gravity and slightly chunky tyre ensure great handling and fun.
New Bosch Cornering ABS maximises active safety during braking, exclusive to this vehicle category, ensuring riders get full-on riding fun. Ducati says riders will also appreciate the new softer-feel hydraulic clutch control, while the adjustable lever can be adapted to individual needs.
The Ducati Multimedia System lets you ride in the company of your favourite music, answer incoming calls or chat with the passenger on the intercom.
The Ducati Scrambler Icon is available in classic 62 Yellow with black frame and black seat with grey rim, and in the new Atomic Tangerine, again with black frame and black seat with grey rim.
