Touratech SA is now open!

Touratech, arguably the world’s best-known brand in adventure motorcycle accessories, is back in South Africa and now open for business. Pauli Massyn, the well-known owner of GPS4AFRICA, is the man behind Touratech’s renewed presence in South Africa.

The shop was introduced to the media and motorcycle industry on the evening of Friday 31 August, the day before the shop’s first day of business on Saturday 1 September.

“This is a dream come true, a dream of almost five years,” Pauli said to the invited guests. “I have always believed in Touratech’s products, but from the time that I started GPS4AFRICA as a hobby in my garage, I have battled to supply my customers with Touratech products. I can now confidently tell you: Come buy from us, we have stock!”

More than 500 adventure bikers visited the shop on its first day of business, showing how loyalty to the Touratech brand has been reignited with the news.

In May, Touratech GmbH appointed Bike Adventure Imports (Pty) Ltd, a subsidiary of GPS4AFRICA, as their new authorised importer and sole distributor for the entire range of Touratech products in South Africa and the Sub-Saharan region of Africa.

“South Africa is one of the largest and most exciting adventure motorcycle markets in the world with a very active and passionate rider community,” Martin Wickert, chief marketing officer of Touratech GmbH said at the announcement in May. “We are therefore very pleased to have GPS4AFRICA as our new business partner.

“With GPS4AFRICA’s extensive experience in the adventure motorcycle market, we are convinced that their service and quality standards are the best fit for us in the South African market – which Touratech is known for in many countries around the world.”

The Touratech shop is situated in the premises that GPS4AFRICA moved into just more than five years ago, before it expanded to the site next door.

With an innovative and constantly developed product portfolio that covers the entire needs around adventure riding, Touratech products are highly appreciated by adventure riders and world travellers from all over the world.
